According to NOAA it looks to rain all day Saturday then clear out for kickoff. Do you guys keep the field covered in a situation like this, or is it gonna be a mud slop?

It will be more epic if it rains.

Not necessarily. Most athletic fields are sand-based, to improve drainage in such events. We're talking anywhere between 6-10 inches/hr of drainage capabilities.

Obviously there will still be some water retained. It depends how well the field manager at Bama has manicured his turf throughout the year.

It is not a cow pasture. I think the dainage system can handle it.

The field will have drained to the equivalent of a "Stiff Dew" by kick off.

No. They just take the state's collective girth and use it to cover the field. Just watch out for the dip spit.

Most college fields have advanced drainage systems. I'm sure Alabama is no different.

I've read only 1/2 inch of rain throughout the day. Shouldn't be too bad

Simply asking if the program owns field tarp.

Getting a little prematurely defensive, are you?

It will not be as bad as Legion Field in the 60's.
LF should be good for a couple of fumbles though.
