I remember hearing that 3 of the linebackers are 255+ in the game against tOSU. I know you run multiples but the base is a 3-4. Do you think they are too big for spread offenses?

Talking to tOSU fans and they seem to think they are great in pass pro after the Bama game. Oregon wasn't very good in the beginning of the year but Prevot and French have come on as of late. Both look like very natural pass rushers. As a result, we did much better than I thought against FSU.

Anyway, I am curious to hear what you think.

Our front 7 is top notch. The secondary's run support is garbage.

nowhere near 2011 though, where 3 of them easily could've been full time down linemen rush ends.

Dear god watching Elliot stiff arm Jackson to get to the edge and turn it upfield for like 60 yards. Knowing Milliner or Kirkpatrick would have put his arse on the matt made my blood boil. We have to finally turn out some top notch CBs in 2015 its been 2 straight seasons of this b.s.

No, they aren't...at least not our LBs. No Hightowers, McClains, Mosleys, or Upshaws in that crew. Ragland is really good...but the rest don't compare to those four.

Alabama doesn't have the Mike LB that makes things go right now. DePriest is solid but he's a liability in coverage. Ragland could be that guy in the Mosley or Hightower, but not quite as athletic.

Dickson was very good this year. Made himself move up draft boards. We didn't really have a compliment to him at the other OLB spot. But there is some young talent there.

they are probably not as athletic as we'd like, given the offenses we now face every year ... probably not the best at blitzes, either ...

Depriest can't get off blocks and is out of position all the damn time.

He no doubt regressed after what everyone thought he would develop into. I think his conditioning was often a concern as well.

From what I've seen of Reuben Foster, he is a walking concussion bomb the way he continues to launch himself. He needs to correct that...

Foster was born 30 years too late. He would have been an All-American in the 80s.

Oregon's starting backers go 250, 248, 240 and 235 and are pretty big. I would think you are giving up a lot of foot speed at 255 across the board.

ETA: you recruit at a high level but that is still a rare bread to find at 255+ and play in space.

Hightower (one of our 2011 LBs) I saw first hand blanket cover a crossing route against Arkansas multiple times. And he was 265 lbs.

Our main struggle is due to the CB position

Trey DePriest is fat and slow and Ragland is inconsistent.
