I never really got why Wells got to name his own successor, he hadn't done much of note at all late in his career there.

I know he made the CWS at least once, but yeah I don't know either. I hate coaches naming their own successor anyway. Too sentimental and risky.

I say it over and over. A coach naming his own successor is terrible. No one wants to be upstaged.

worst thing you could do for any team. very rarely works out. especially is the coach really didnt accomplish anything great

yeah, Nick Saban recommended Houston Nutt to be his replacement at LSU. Glad we did not go that route

I honestly could care less about baseball but I would like for Bama to be competitive. It looks like the guy sucks and needs to go. All other sports departments are making strides and recently are competitive. Baseball, not so much.
