Bama fans, can you tell me about this bear lookalike?

A girl I know posted this picture on her facebook page. I don't know anyone in this picture, but for the sake of being above board I blanked the faces anyway. Is this a statue or some sort of wax figure (honestly wouldn't be surprised knowing bama) or is there an absolute dead ringer on campus? Is this guy pretty famous/well known?

I figured it was TOO realistic, but didn't know if there was just some really similar looking dude out there.

Certainly nothing done by the school. Never seen or heard about him before in my life. Just some old guy in a costume.

I don't know for sure, but a couple things strike me as odd about it.
For one thing, as you said, it's too realistic.
For another, it's holding its pose a bit too well while some chick is copping a feel.
Also, its placement seems odd. It looks like it's on display.

I dunno. The picture isn't close enough. It could be a ringer. Either way, it's kind of mind blowing.

I guarantee you at least one Alabama fans saw that and got overly excited only to be bitterly disappointed.

It looks like they carried Bear to the taxidermist. I also noticed the Bammer wearing a Reebok jersey w/ jordache jeans and a pair of black catchmefrickmes.
