Daughter going there for a camp this week. Thanks

Also, where's the famous BBQ joint (dreamland I think)? Need some lunch tomorrow on the way... Thanks. Is it really that good?

Riverside is pretty nice. It's pretty new.

Dreamland....the original one is off of Jug Factory rd. Which isn't far from skyland blvd. there is also another location across the bridge in Northport but you'll want to go to the original. Just google the directions.

It's on the other side of town. It'll maybe take you 15 mins. To drive there.

Save the trip to Dreamland and go to Archibald's instead. It's way better, and closer to campus.

Archibalds is very good but honestly I'd just do the convenient thing and go to Moe's Original BBQ downtown just down from campus. It's good Q and it's a good restaurant scenery wise as well.

My thoughts exactly. Kinda like insulting your waiter.

Good point! ...but back to the subject. Dreamland or Archibald's are good for ribs only. Moe's is ok for pulled or sliced pork, but I like Hick's over in Northport on Highway #43 for that. If you decide on Archibald's, you'd better call to see if there's a wait...his pit is small.

Cypress Inn on Rice Mine Road has good food IIRC.

Cypress Inn is a seafood restaurant in Northport across the river from the UA campus. Similar to a Louisiana seafood type restaurant.

At night, you'll want to check out Tin Top on Temerson's Square...and be sure to wear all your LSU gear when you go.

Burger/chicken place?

Phil's on the Strip is probably the most convenient place for that. Bob Baumhower's two restaurants Wings Sports Grille and the fairly new Wings U concept at Midtown Village both make a good burger and chicken sandwich.

I'd also recommend the Black and White chicken platter if you go to Wings. It's a very good grilled chicken breast lightly marinated in MOJO seasoning with white BBQ sauce on the side served with broccoli and rice.
