Bama fans - did Gene Stallings have another stroke?

I think I just heard that on WJOX in Bham. He and Pat Dye were scheduled to do a live stage show in Montgomery tomorrow night.
Prayers for him if it is true.

Stallings is one of the few "old regime" coaches. Class act and when he speaks you listen. I was happy for him in 92.

I met him one time while in Paris, TX on business - asked me if I was a Bama fan, and I said no sir I am an Auburn fan - bu i respect the hell out of you.

I always respected coach Stallings....In the early 90's we went to the Bama team hotel in Knoxville before the UT-Bama game. A good friend of mine who his family and my family had UT season tickets together for years had a friend that was on the Bama staff back then so we went to their team hotel so they could visit. We got there just as they were finishing up their pre-game meal and the coaches including Stalling were standing outside the room where they had their meal.....This player came up to coach Stallings and said, coach you wanted to see me...Coach stalling said you were late for the team meeting this morning..the player said yes coach I overslept.....Stalling said.....you are not dressing today and I will deal with you when we get back home do you understand? The player said yes coach I understand.

If I'm not mistaken, Johnny is buried on the ranch.
