That's impressive. I'm hoping Howland can get our team back to being competitive soon. I think the SEC is going to be much better in basketball in the coming years

With the way every team this offseason has stepped up and paid some coaches, that's what i expect. It's going to really piss off other conferences when the SEC is also good at basketball

You still will be.

Indeed. I will defer to Auburn fans on the subject of being terrible at basketball.

Good win and glad to hear the turf was dry for your team to pull the upset

This was pretty funny. Didn't deserve the downvotes.

Those wins will help the conference RPI and may help more SEC teams to get an NCAA invitation. I have never seen a team play so poorly (against Xavier) and so well against (Wichita State and Notre Dame) in the same tournament. We beat 2 ranked teams and came in 5th. Congrats CAJ!

They played with a level of confidence tonight that they didn't have the first 5 games. Actually finishing off a close game against Wichita looks to have done wonders for them.

Notre Dame was decent at 66. Wichita State was 216.

Avery is a great coach with a background that most college coaches dont have, also is a players coach which is good for motivation and a good X and Os guy. You guys at Bama should feel fortunate to have him coaching there. He will turn the program around, it wasnt that long ago that Ronald Steele was tearing it up and Bama was making noise in March

Probably so. They've looked horrible without him though.

Doesn't help that his backup is out too. Plus they lost another guy at the end of the Bama game to that crazy injury.

Funny that you brought up Steele because my dad and I were talking during the game tonight about how we haven't had a great post entry passer since him. Hopefully Ingram and Coleman can change that.

Even though im purple and gold, Steele was awesome to watch on the court. Truly unselfish leader who made everyone around him better
