Was doing a little looking and found it pretty comparable in the level of competition each has faced.

Bama's opponents have a 54% winning percentage this season so far.

Lsu's opponents have a 55% winning percentage this season so far.

Bama's average winning margin is 33.5-16.4.. for 17.1 per game advantage.

Lsu's average winning margin is 38.9-22.6.. for 16.3 per game advantage.

Other miscellaneous stats:

First downs on the season
Bama 178
Lsu 149

Rushing
Bama 1508 yds
Lsu 2164 yds

Passing
Bama 1867
Lsu 1098

Penalties
Bama 54
Lsu 52

This is gonna be like the rest of the Bama/Lsu games the last few yrs.. conservative, hard fought, gut wrenching suspense and hard hitting. It's gonna be a long 2 weeks.

Crazy how we've played this many SEC games with no common opponents. But, I think the way schedules are similar every year, this is somewhat the norm.

One less game for LSU. And the only reason I say that is because I thought our offense was ranked a little higher, but the yards posted showed differently. Then I remembered.

I assume someone will take it the wrong way, but I was just adding some context.

Good post.

I was just saying how often our games seem to be decided subjectively w controversial replays and penalties both ways.

Very evenly matched.
