If I'm a recruit, I want to go and make a mark somewhere ... like reviving a program back to a national title, not just be another cog in the Saban machine.

Any recruit these days worth his salt should be looking at LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, etc, and leaving the boring grind that is Bama in the dust.

Think about it..

eh, the big sell for other schools is just that they'll have the chance to play sooner if they don't go to alabama. in no way is winning a national title "boring" to anyone

LSU would still be boring if Saban hadn't left.

Problem is, and the problem was created by schools like LSU bitching about unlimited schollies, is that you can only sign 25 and that includes the schools mentioned. Everybody is getting players because there is enough to go around. We are developing the 25 we get at a higher rate than other schools is the issue. We are taking individual talent and incorporating into a system to utilize whatever that talent is to maximum efficiency. The Russians didn't have better hockey players back in the day, they put the right player in the right situation to be successful. That's what the University of Alabama football program has mastered.

As far as recruits, out of the top 300, you only get 25 so we gonna get ours too. It's how we develop.
Besides, I doubt your opinion is gonna sway any recruits like in your delusional mind you are thinking this will.

Flip side: less wear and tear on your body by playing for Bama.

Then you wouldn't care so much about your future NFL value. Saban has more first round picks (17) since 2007 than Meyer and Miles combined (16).

For your sake, I certainly hope you didn't follow your own suggestion.

Last night was pretty far from boring.

Unfortunately, it is going to help Clemson tremendously. Players are gonna want to play for dabo. It's obvious the effort the gave last night was off the charts.

So, Russians == Bama. Yes, pretty much. And eventually the Russian talent broke free of the socialist machine and started making some real history in the NHL. Your post falls perfectly in line with my point.

Yeah, if I'm a recruit, I'd rather play in the Texas Bowl.

i don't think LSU is struggling in the recruiting department. what bowl lsu played in in is kind of irrelevant wouldn't you say?

I see these posts all the time about our NFL players are better than yours, blah blah. I think that's more of an indictment of the COLLEGE coaches inability to incorporate a team system. They are developing players yes, but not to the betterment of the said college team.
Bama QB's don't do well in the pro's for the most part because they haven't been trained for that. They were schooled and used as a PART of the offense, not THE offense. Yea, Miami of Ohio or Louisville may have more pro QB's but they don't have as good a team in college.
Look at your own Matt Mauck. Not gonna play pro ball and he was anything but the centerpiece of that 03 offense. He was however, an import PART that fit into a system that benefited the offense and won a title despite not having glaring stats.
