Manziel was better. And it's not even close

Manziel had like 4 early pick linemen and Mike Evans didn't he?

Nobody is trying to stop you from having opinions. I'm just laughing at the opinions you do have.

Nobody who has seen the two play (and isn't an aggie) agrees with this.

Love the way they both play/played. Swagger and ultra competitiveness.

MSB had the same thread last week.

LINK

First page 12 people picked Manziel. 2 or 3 Baker.

It is what it is

We won't know that until the 2019 and 2020 drafts.

If we're talking total drafted players:

5 of Johnny Manziel's Texas A&M teammates were drafted in 2013, 2 in 2014, 2 in 2015, and 2 in 2016

2 of Baker Mayfield's Texas Tech teammates were drafted in 2014, 0 in 2015, and 2 in 2016.

4 of Baker Mayfield's Oklahoma teammates were drafted in 2016 and 4 in 2017.

Mayfield had 12 teammates taken in the NFL Draft, Manziel had 11.

It IS what it is, which is SEC posters picking the former SEC QB. What a laugher!

This isn't even what the announcers said though. They said that Baker Mayfield is a better QB when he avoids playing like Johnny Manziel.

ETA: Carry on with the argument though. It's entertaining.

You really are dense. I already put the numbers out. Mayfield didn't put up "Manziel numbers" until his THIRD SEASON.

Mayfield's career at Tech is irrelevant.

No it's not. It was his Freshman year. To do an accurate comparison, you compare the players in the same point in their tenure.

For a school that claims a large number of Rhodes Scholars, you really are stupid.

You compared Mayfield's time at Tech to make Manziel look better, moron.

Mayfield stats in his first two years at OKLAHOMA:

2015: 3700yds 36TDs 7INTs 68.1% completion ratio
2016: 3965yds 40TDs 8INTs 70.9% completion ratio

Sorry aggie, tricks are for kids.

I don't give a damn what Mayfield did at Tech his freshman year. Tech isn't OU and he only played in 8 games at Tech (with worse talent than Manziel had BTW). You're using nonsense to claim Manziel was the netter QB.

Manziels 2012 Heisman season

LT: Luke Joeckel, 1st round, #2 overall draft pick. Outland Trophy winner. Started 39/39 NFL games
LG: Jarvis Harrison, 5th round draft pick
RG: Cedric Ogbuehi, 1st round, #21 overall draft pick. NFL starter
RT: Jake Matthews, 1st round, #6 overall draft pick. 2× 1st team All-American. Started 47/47 NFL games

RB: Christine Michael, 2nd round NFL draft pick. Conference FOTY. Super Bowl champion

WR: Mike Evans, 1st round, #7 overall draft pick. Consensus All-American. Pro Bowler, and All-Pro team.
WR: Ryan Swope, NFL draft pick and All-Conference in two different conferences

So the 3 most important positions to a QBs success, Manziel had top 10 draft picks that have all had great NFL careers

And y'all still couldn't finish higher than 3rd in the West :rorflmao:
Just because your shitty coach squandered all that talent doesnt mean that Manziel didnt have an elite supporting cast, because he did. Manziel would not have come close to winning a Heisman without a freak OL that gave him 10 seconds to run arouns in circles in the backfield and open up 10 yard wide holes for him, or a freak WR like Evans who could bail Manziel out by high pointing the ball better than almost any WR ever,

That's cute

Manziel had 47 TDs as a redshirt fish and won the Heisman.

Maybe one day Baker can hold that trophy like his Daddy
