How does anyone see their recovery taking shape?

History shows Auburn generally does not stay down for long.

LSU went from a 1 conference win team in 99 to Conference Champion 2 years later in 2001, so quick turnarounds in this league are not unheard of.

It'll be a long process. Might take years to recover from the mess Chizik left behind. They won't beat Bama, LSU, A&M, Arky or UGA for the next few years.

AU's problem is LSU & Bama are consistently good nowadays. Then throw in A&M and OM rising. Arky & MSU are still there. UGA has AU's number. Add it all up, AU may have a very good year 1 out of 5 years.

Curious as to why you put Arky on that list. Aren't they in nearly the same position?

Auburn has never lost the ability to rustle jimmies on the Rant.

It will be enlightening to read the opinions of a bunch of Bama and LSU fans on this topic.

If true, then we will probably win the same number of championships as UGA during that time.

'OM Rising'

Auburn essentially owns the OM series.

It's nothing personal. Your program just isn't in good shape.

As long as Bama and LSU are still recruiting and winning at a high level and teams like A&M and Ole Miss on the rise, you won't be competing for the West anytime soon. That's just the way it is.

I wish we could be like UGA, always "competitive" but never win anything.

A 7-6 record and 1 good recruiting class is not enough to compensate for the decades of suckage. Vanderbilt has had better season"s" than Ole Miss

Until they at least contend for the West they're no different than State
