Everybody knows offense is where LSU is really struggling and losing games. But Auburn will be the first elite defense that LSU plays.

The top 3 scoring defense LSU has faced so far:
#24 Troy (Sun Belt lol)
#41 Miss State (held LSU to 7 but gave up 49 to AU)
#53 Florida

LSU offense vs. AU defense

Scoring:
#90 LSU (25.3 ppg)
#6 Auburn (13.0 ppg)

Total yards:
#78 LSU (398 ypg)
#13 Auburn (288 ypg)

Passing yards :
#86 LSU (201.0 ypg)
#20 Auburn (176.3 ypg)

Rushing yards:
#41 LSU (196.7 ypg)
#22 Auburn (111.2 ypg)

The closest thing resembling a statistical strength for LSU is rushing with the tandem of Derrius Guice and Darrell Williams.
Unfortunately for LSU, their OL is beat up and thin and will play a couple of inexperienced backups.

Also beat up is LSU's lone big offensive talent Darius Guice, to the point where Syracuse held him to 14 yards on 8 carries (1.8 ypc) and he still looked a shadow of himself vs Florida last Saturday.

Williams has been held in check in SEC play so far, 35 yards being his high, vs two much lesser rushing defenses (#64 State, #71 Florida)

So going up against by far the best rush defense yet in AU, who features very talented, deep, and fully healthy front 7... Doesn't seem like much of a strength anymore

As for passing, well nobody believes Danny Etling can lead LSU to a win over anybody through the air. And Auburn's secondary is much more talented than LSU's WRs.

This game could get ugly for LSU's offense. Painful to watch.
If LSU can't hold onto the ball, things may also get ugly for a thin LSU defense as they get tired.

BowlJackson's OFFICIAL prediction

Auburn 41
LSU 3 (kicker isn't good and will miss 1 or 2)

250 total yards of offense for LSU

That would drop LSU to about #105 in scoring offense and to the mid-to-late 80's in total yards per game.

What are your predictions?

No way auburn wins by 38. The game will be close , but auburn pulls away in the 4th quarter. The auburn fans arrogance is very delusional.

I must, once again, support my brother BowlJackson.

You are so wise.

1. What possible reason could possibly get this thread whacked?
A thread based on statistics to create actual discussion gets whacked, while at any given point the entire front page of the rant could be entirely troll threads that survive... Because it doesnt reflect well on LSU? Because I made a prediction at the end based on statistics and injury reports... And it doesn't reflect well on LSU?

Everybody complains all the time there arent enough threads like this... Until one actually gets made and they don't like what the facts say about their team and they get mad

2. 30-13 was about my original prediction. Then I looked closely at LSUs games and the stats, and their depth and injuries
My new prediction is based on LSU struggling and struggling hard to keep the ball on offense. That leads to more oppurtunties for Auburn's offense. Lack of depth and a lot of time on the field leads to an exhausted defense which will be like swiss cheese in the 4th qtr. A 180 in QB styles when Malik Willis comes in the 4th and an exhausted LSU defense will make for a late TD to break 40 in the final minutes.

I think LSU will manage to get into scoring range 3 times (maybe more). They could punch it into the end zone and score more than my prediction.
But AU has a great red zone defense, and LSU has a weak OL so I figured FG attempts are more likely. I looked up LSU's kicking stats and they were bad, so I figured there would be at least one missed FG in multiple attempts. A red zone turnover has a high probability as well IMO.
So 13 by LSU wouldn't surprise, but that's honestly their high water mark points wise IMO

If you had the attention span to read more than 3 sentences my prediction comes with well thought out reasoning and logic backed up by stats and facts.

Arrogance and delusion must mean something different in Louisiana. Im speaking English, not French Cajun. Because any time any opposing fan doesn't suck off LSU in their post to stroke your fanbase's delicate feelings it must be out of arrogance and delusion, right?

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with LSU losing to Troy, a Sun Belt team. A conference who's teams the SEC usually blows out, by like 38 points.

Couldn't possibly be because LSU already lost by 30 to a Mississippi State team that Auburn beat by 39.

Couldn't possibly be because LSU made a program killing HC hire. A coonass who can barely speak and is having his hand held while he does his job by the AD who your whole fan base hates so much.

Couldn't possibly be because the LSU football program is currently a raging dumpster fire. Or the entire Athletic Department, the University as whole down to the accountants and even the Greek system, and really the whole city of Baton Rouge are also all raging dumpster fires right now creating a toxic culture around your football team.

And sure as frick couldn't be the tangible measurable statistics over the course of half the season, or the well documented depth and injury issues plaguing LSU football right now cited as the reasoning behind my prediction?

Noooooo, frick all that logic BS. You don't want to admit to the current state of LSU football and I wont enable your denial, I must be delusional and arrogant

Sorry bud but the only arrogance in this thread is that of those who refuse to acknowledge facts.
The only delusion is that of LSU fans who don't realize that the LSU of 2001-2012 is dead and that era is dead and gone and not coming back anytime soon.

I would take your house.
You want my bookies number? Ask him who pays out to who more and how much he enjoys keeping my book.

This is funny and ironic because I just had an exchange with another LSU who said something similar to me this summer. He was positive Auburn and LSU were going to be essentially in reverse roles of how it actually is now. I called it pretty much spot on, although I admit not even I imagined LSU woukd be shite enough to actually lose to Troy.... His reasoning

I'm just so confident that you're completely fricking wrong about your football team that I'm not afraid to mock you.

Yeah... He doesn't feel the same way now.

If I had a dollar for every time something I said on the SEC Rant made somebody mad and call me dumb, only for me to end up right or a hell of a lot closer to the truth than they were, I'd walk into a dealership and buy myself a brand new crew cab truck with all the bells and whistles, and I would pay up front in cash
