Pretty sure Bama's PR department is one of the best in terms of public universities, but I may well be mistaken.

lol, and what "numbers" would those be? Vaguely alluding to unsubstantiated bullshite is fun and all, but actually citing things based in reality is pretty neat too! Try it!

I can't handle what?

And here's an FYI for you -

PRWeek Magazine has recognized the public relations program in The University of Alabama’s College of Communication and Information Sciences as one of the top five programs in the nation six times.

What a fricking joke. In 2009. I bought 4 Auburn season tickets right off the Auburn website. No donation required, and no waiting list.

Just try going to Auburn. We are very "Old School" in a sense. But, once you are accepted, and show that you actually show some commitment...you will never be alone in the professional or academic world.

We always take care of our own.

I can't necessarily speak of our sports programs, but I can, at least speak of our academia...as long as you try to begin with.

That's all well and good, but you also come away believing Bammers are out to get you (half of you do at least)

And you spout ridiculous myths about yourself. You pass yourself off as this small, almost-private academic engineering school in west Georgia, when we all know you're the big arse land grant cow college. While your engineering program is great, your overall standards aren't, your biggest major is business and it's your forestry, poultry science, etc depts. that are of utmost importance to the state and region. AND until just maybe 10 years ago you were a larger school than Alabama. You're the cow college of this state, the MS State of AL and everyone knows it, you're not fooling anyone. And this weird false mythos you've built about who you are and the Aubren fambly didn't become a big thing until Saban and the dynasty as pure pathetic coincidence

You're not this small, special insular place that only alumni attend games at. You're just the other school.

Yeah. That's called networking.

Taking a common practice that all alumni from every school participate in and turning into some unique thing that only AU people do is really the most Auburn thing ever.

This "Auburn doesn't have sidewalk fans" thing is one of the most irksome and intellectually dishonest things I've seen come up in sports fandom.

This post is like trying to teach a pig algebra. It serves no purpose, you waste your time and you just anger the pig...be above this son.

I can clearly tell that you have never been accepted into Auburn University.

That is not your fault, but our Engineering school has been closed for 2 years for an undergraduate list.

We can send graduates to NASA once they reach their Junior year, however.

I didn't attend Alabama but I'm an Alabama fan. Went to CSU (Colorado State). I fail to understand how "graduate fans" make a school, a team, or fan base any better than the next. If Auburn is so "fan base/graduates" oriented.......who cares. They don't have a whole lot to show for it, IE it doesn't matter in the CFB world. And I guess since Alabama doesn't have much "graduate attendance" our fans are somehow lesser? Strangely Alabama has much more to show for its football program. Fans that are alumni has nothing to do with Alabama's success. I hate this argument. Who gives two flying shits if even 90% of your entire fan base are alumni. It has absolutely no bearing on the success of the program. Get over yourselves. Never heard the argument that the alumni influence coaches or recruits, or coaching philosophy. $$$$$$$$ makes the program run. I'm not sure why Alabama has more of that than Auburn.

Why is Auburn the only school in the SEC that pretends they don't have sidewalkers? At least Alabama owns theirs because they know some trailer park hick's money spends just as well as that of an alum. Other SEC schools play the sidewalker card when trying to score cheap points against Alabama in an argument but they know they have sidewalkers too. Auburn lives in denial.

I graduated from UAB, for the record. My uncle was a walk-on kicker at Bama in the 80's, FWIW.

Quality over quantity.

It's as simple as that. We have all each paid $30,000 to our University for our own educations...compared to a whole State of T-shirt fans in the state who ride 'Bama Football when they see it is best fit to cheer at the moment.

Your fan base is a fake. You have to admit. It is what it is.

Bryant-Denny might have about 14% when tickets are cheap enough.

I'm a graduate of Alabama, and I don't go to games. After having priced mid-field seats for a family of 4, I've decided there are better places to put my money.

On the other hand, I have relatives and friends who did not attend college. Those relatives buy season tickets, even though they can't afford it. I don't get it.

Mister Tee also assured everyone no Auburn fan would ever step foot inside of a Wall-Mart, especially to see a silly college football trophy after Alabama won the crown in 2009. One year later....

It's okay to live in a fairy tail world on the internet, Mister Tee. But if you sincerely believe Auburn doesn't have a massive sidewalk following, then I sincerely believe you've never visited the states of Alabama and Georgia.

UAB and Troy has a right to make that claim, but Auburn? Lulz

What particular focus did you gain in your own Major if I may ask.
