I still think they can make a bowl. If Petrino knew how to use his timeouts and Jacksonville State could have sealed the deal, it would be a different story. I think they beat Kentucky and Arkansas, lose three in-a-row, beat Idaho in a game that is way closer than it should be, lose in the Iron Bowl. They then finish 6-6, head off to the Birmingham Bowl at hated Legion Field, guided by an interim head coach.

haha no way.
no way we make a bowl and no way we'd get a new HC if we did

Seriously, how does this happen every few years at Auburn? It seems like once Auburn loses a game or two, then everything falls apart. The 2008 team completely fell apart losing its last 6 games against BCS opponents. The 2012 team had much more talent than their record indicated, but they quit on the coach. The 2014 team finished the season 0-4 against P5 opponents. Now everything is falling apart this year.
Is the program so mentally weak that they can't handle on-the-field adversity at all?

Why you say that?

I think the laid back atmosphere of Auburn as a town probably has some kind of impact on the psyche. It seems complacency is a standard when spending too much time in Auburn.

The luck makes all the fan base, coaches, and players actually believe that you can just go forward thinking whatever you do will work no matter what the odds. Plausible why Johnson threw all those picks. I think he believed someone would just leap across the field and catch it somehow. I don't think it is a matter of talent. Odds are mathematically taking place for the barn.

I don't know why but somehow I feel like they're going to pull 7 or 8 wins out of their arse

Meh. If the defense keeps improving, who knows? It's not like there are any world beaters this year. And if Malzahn takes the cuffs off of White, he'll put up some points.

I predicted 6-6 in the preseason and got a lot of hate.

No way in hell Auburn beats us at home.

Like it or not, ya'll are stuck with Gus. 20 years of paying coaches that aren't coaching anymore isn't endless and has consequences.

I can guarantee we don't beat y'all in Athens this year. Since the game is at JHS, we could beat you there.
