First off Rip Lutze.

But this is really my first or second time watching this game. Why does Auburn have really good D Lines and not much else?

Crazy isn't it. They'll trot a DL this year with 5 former 5 stars, Mont Adams, Lawson, Cowart, Davidson, Brown...and a secondary consisting of 4 former Fournette rape victims

The D line was okay. Fairley was in beast mode the entire year. He was very responsible for the come back against Bama and winning the Natty.

To answer honestly, we have had very poor recruiting and development in with linebackers ever since Tubbs left, and coincidentally Saban showed up. So are biggest rival started to grab all of the elite talent at that position. This year, with Williams, we should be a little better.

I can't explain DB's. We've had talent, but the development has been terrible, so I guess I can explain it. Last year, they were actually scared to tackle LF at LSU. We have a kid who just got arrested for pot, in Davis, who could be very good. Last year, coverage was good, but QB's had 7-10 seconds to allow receivers to get open.

I am hoping the improved pass rush will allow for better secondary play. The DL should be much improved, and at least 2 deep.

How you could have two thugs of Nick Fairley and Cam Newton's caliber on the same team astounds me.

That always helps. Also hoping the improvements the secondary made with TRob continue this year.

LBER Corp was great in 2010 also. The Mike Josh Bynes was slow but a very intelligent player who loved contact. Still playing in the NFL for the Lions. SLB Craig Stevens was a great college LBer. WLB was Eltoro Freeman who was serviceable that season. Throw in NT Zac Clayton who perfectly compliment Farley and we Ended up with the #1 rushing D in the SEC that season.

But basically when Tubs ability to scout D talent and his overall philosophy of speed above size went way, our D fell off fast. Star gaziers claim we have talent, but we have very little and no core D philosophy in which to scout talent.

That's bound to happen when you have 6 DCoordinators in 8 years.

Yep. Of course the SEC has changed a lot in that in the SEC in 8 years for offenses and defenses in general.
