Auburn might be the first to fire their coach at end of the season.

Auburn isn't like some of your programs. They take their football program serious as frick. Competing with Bama 365 days a year especially with Saban there they can't afford to keep a mediocre coach around. It is a good job with a really good recruiting base. frick em and I hope they keep that dude around but if he doesn't at least split the Georgia and Alabama games he is done.

Gus could lose every game the rest of the season and he wouldn't get fired.

Nah he won't be fired until Jacobs is gone, that is inevitable.

I seriously doubt that. Gus just needs a legit dual-threat QB for his system which isn't Stidham.

If they fire Gus I hope we welcome him in Fayetteville.

Tennessee might fire theirs before the end of the season. I only see 1 and maybe 2 wins left on their schedule.

Jay Jacobs looms large right now. Auburn better get shite moving if they intend to replace them both

Stidham is fine, it's the playcalling that fricked AU yesterday. 17 runs on first down in a row. Only 6 passing yards in 2nd half.

Auburn, to me, is the hardest to predict. Gus is the very definition of 'doing just enough to make it hard to kick him to the curb, but no more.' They take their football seriously, yes, but Gus' unpredictability means so many of the fans are on the edge of their seats, wondering if Gus will pull off a big win over a good team or lose to a bad one.

Without having surveyed, well, any AU fans, I would still bet a large percentage of them honestly think Gus could pull off a miracle upset of Bama while losing to whichever cupcake they play the week before. And I wouldn't disagree with them.

I think you are half right.

We fully think he could lose to a cupcake.

Not so sure about the Alabama part.

I think he is done, but it would take another wtf loss for it to be this year. I think a good search for an AD will be the first step, giving Gus next year. BTW next year AL and GA are away, so I am pretty sure that will be the end of the line.
