People were saying the call in the LSU/USC game was the worst call ever. I'm pretty sure this one has it beat!

For those that missed it it appeared live that the batter hit the ball into the ground and then it popped in the air. First baseman catches it and throws to third. Alabama scores and advances runner to third. On replay the pitch hit the dirt and the batter popped it up so it should have been a double play.

Bama has a runner on 1st and 3rd. Pitcher throws a ball in the dirt that bounces, the hitter hits the ball off the bounce to first in the air. Runner from 3rd scores and the first baseman throws to 3rd for the double play. (Which is should have been) the call gets ruled as ground ball to first and ruled as a hit. Bama ties the game on it.

It was a terrible call, but I'm really hoping AU wins this one. They will be pretty fired up heading to BR next weekend, and we don't need any extra ammo for Aurburn.

There was no shadow. He was out. Another terrible call, but earlier I thought Duplantis' hand hit the plate, so I guess they were making up for that one.
