What are you guys expecting this year in football? Any progress? QB situation going to be decent?

We have no idea. Gus treats football info like nuclear secrets.

I do not except much progress based on the shite show that was Aday.

IMO Sean White will start and John Franklin III & out will come into run the wildcat and frick up the flow of the offense.

This likely indicates they will be Atlanta bound... unpredictable bastards.

They have zero expectations. Which likely means 14-0, maybe 13-1.

We all think they will stink on ice.

So SEC championship and likely CFP bound.

Joking aside, as much as Gus hates to admit it he's basically running the veer from the shotgun formation. He needs a running QB because with the limited passing attack he prefers I'm not sure Auburn has the firepower to win the West.

Now... given that running QB then Gus and Auburn can be very dangerous. I just don't think they have it right now.

Too early to say right now. Looks like Auburn has been in contact since the spring game

I do not play or coach so my "expectations" are very limited.

I "expect" to watch the games on TV and to "attend" a few games in person with my son. I "expect" to visit with friends at JHS and enjoy some food and fellowship before or after the game.

I have no idea whether we will win or lose any particular game. I hope we have a great year every year and AU has had some pretty good success the last 51 years overall.

Have no clue. I think it's more about if we have any WRs that can catch this year. If so we have a chance with White. Otherwise we will likely end up like last year or JF3 running the option with less of a pass threat than what we had with Marshall.

Who the hell knows, to be honest with you. I am prepping myself for a very average season and hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Defense yes. Offensive line and QB are big unknowns. So anywhere from 5 to 14 wins.

QB - Upgrade - either we have SW or JJ with experience, or one of the two transfers.

RB - Upgrade

FB/ H-Back - Upgrade

WR - Upgrade

TE - Upgrade

OL - Push

DL - Upgrade

LB - Upgrade

CB - Upgrade

S - Upgrade

K/P - Upgrade

10 wins including bowl game.
Despite the lack of a passing game or pass rush last year Auburn was still only a few plays out of most games. We've brought in tons of help in those areas.

Clemson - L
Arkansas State - W
Texas A&M - W
LSU - toss up
Louisiana Monroe - W
@Mississippi State - W
Arkansas - W
@Ole Miss - W
Vanderbilt - W
@Georgia - toss up (leaning W)
Alabama A&M - W
@Alabama - toss up

How is it possible that there isn't one single position on the team that will be worse than last season?

So essentially you are better at everything and you aren't too worried about anyone except LSU and Alabama in the West?

Y'all have got a bitch of a schedule.

September ain't easy open with Clemsonm, then aTm & LSU at home. Then @MSU - Arky - @OleMiss in October then @UGA - @Bama in November.

AU has a lot of talent, they will be playing a lot of seniors and players that have tons of experience from last season......If the offensive coaches can get creative with the schemes and the defense can look somewhat like a real SEC caliber defense then they should be improved.

We'll know by the end of September what they have on the field and on the sidelines.

I have no doubt they'll be better than last year, it'd almost be hard not to be. I just thought it was curious that there isn't ONE position that will be worse. Typically with seniors leaving, guys leaving early, freshman with limited PT taking on expanded roles...usually there's SOMEwhere on the field that isn't as good as the year before.
