I know why you're laughing. I think they're a joke, too. What's the point of televising a spring game? They're usually boring, the announces are just stretching for shite to say, and they seem to last hopelessly forever.
Sometimes it really sucks being an Alabama fan, knowing that 92,000+ fans coming out for a spring game (yourself included), had everything to do with this current craze of televising spring games. I mean...when it happened everyone thought it was a joke (I thought it was, too). Then everyone saw how it paid off in recruiting and everyone started wanting to emulate that success.

I graduated AU in 2001 and watched spring games while in college.
