Auburn AD Jay Jacobs says the Tigers want to move to the Eastern Division

"It makes more sense for Auburn from the demographics of our students," Jacobs said of flipping Auburn to the East. "Six to eight years ago, I looked at our demographics and most all of our students come from Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and Kentucky.

Jacobs should be thankful Alabama and Tennessee let them stay in the West.

The reason Auburn is in the West in the first place is to equally distribute the Big 6. We've had a ton of threads this off season pointing out how no one but the Big 6 has won anything, so I just don't see how the AD's of the Big 3 in the East will okay this? I'd be all for it and I'm sure Bama would be too...

It makes great sense... as much for the league's balance as it does for Auburn itself.
I'm not sure it does enough to balance out the leagues though. I think Vandy or Kentucky needs to move to the West if we really want balanced divisions.

Good Lord, and then what? Move the BITCHES to the East and they will still will not appear in anymore SECCG's than they do now. UF, UGA, and UT will get better and AU will still have to deal with Daddy in Tuscaloosa!
