Well duh, everybody already knew that. But Montevallo, Troy, and Jacksonville over Birmingham is laughable so that list is shite

Exactly what I was going to say. That list blows.

Opinions based on a subjective choice of criteria. Congrats, though, on the win. I'm sure that this is a comforting idea for some people to post on a board dedicated to sports.

I legitimately LOL'd.

Glad Troy is better than Birmingham, too.

I would ask if this is an onion article, but I doubt they even know where Auburn is.

I'd much rather live in Jacksonville or Oxford than Birmingham. But that's just me.

Now if you mean Homewood, Vestavia or Hoover when you are talking about Birmingham then you have a point.

But to live and work in Birmingham itself? No. Thanks but I will pass.

Birmingham is a great place to live. I imagine you don't have much experience with it in the last 5-10 years, if at all.

If you're a single professional, Birmingham is far and away the best place to live in the state. Living in a cookie cutter suburb like the ones you mentioned sounds depressing unless you're raising a family.

Yep. A while back if you told me you were potentially moving to Birmingham I would have told you to stay far far away. It's a pretty cool place now though. It has changed dramatically these past few years.

I'm guessing 1987 is the year you graduated college as opposed to the year you were born.

Troy is probably the least exciting college town in existence. Montgomery is nothing great, but it's miles ahead of Troy.
