I found this interesting, when he was asked who his favorite opposing mascot to interact with is:

Maybe it's just me but it doesn't seem like they abide by that rule

I believe that's for the pride of other mascots because Aubie is so much better. Also the fact that Aubie is a tiger while other mascots are just humans in costumes might make them feel inadequate. It's just best to keep them apart.
