He seems pretty good by all accounts, but your WR situation has been sub-par for a while. Davis looks to be a huge improvement, but no one seems to be emerging as a real star WR.

In before someone chimes in to let you know their cumulative corps of WR - not a single one in which had 300 yards receiving at AU last year - is going to be the best in the SEC and one of the best in Auburn history.

If you look at the receiving totals from last year you would say no one

You truly are clueless.

Our best quarterback missed 3 or 4 games last year with injuries

Our 2nd string quarterback last year would struggle throwing to Jerry Rice in his prime

Our most talented receivers last year were freshman

We didn't attempt to throw many passes in most non conference games, or even in conference games like Ole Miss, Arkansas, Moo State due to the success we had running the ball

Well, you would have to pay reasonable close attention to Auburn's games in 2016 to see it. When your starter throws 9 TDs for the season, clearly there's not a lot of opportunity for WRs to show what they can do. They were also all freshmen.

But they were all 4-5 star guys that everyone was recruiting. If Stidham can consistently get them the ball, you will see soon enough.

I'm not sure how any of that makes me clueless.

It is a fact that you do not have a single wide receiver on your team that had 300 yards receiving at Auburn last year. It is a fact that there are people on this board who have stated this group - who barely totaled 1000 yards collectively in 2016 could be the best group of WR in the SEC and possibly the best Auburn has ever had.

But yes, I'm the clueless one.

If stars are a true indicator of talent then we should have plenty of choices. The truth is we as fans don't know. The names we hear thrown around are Nate Craig Meyers, Sal Cannella, Darius Slayton, Eli Stove, Ryan Davis, Kyle Davis and Will Hastings.

Calvin Ridley is the only bammer receiver who has over 200 yards receiving and zero receiving touchdowns in his entire career, yet bammer is going to win a national championship with those receivers according to most pundits and their idiot fans like you

If you believe all of the stupid shite sports writers say, I can see buying into that, but no one is a real stud. You need at least one for the others to play off of.

And you won't find a single bammer claiming this will be the best group of WR bammer had ever had, either.

Calvin Ridley had about as many yards as a true freshman with sorry arse Jake Coker throwing to him as Auburn's entire 2017 receiving corps had last year combined.

Also, Calvin Ridely had 7 receiving TDs as a true freshman and as a sophomore.

We had 3 true freshman receivers last year who were in the top 125 of the 247 composite recruiting rankings. None of them put up huge numbers last year for the reasons I mentioned above. They are largely being counted on for more production and Stidham is being counted on for better quarterback play

Yet the rest of bammers receivers outside of Ridley have a combined zero touchdowns as a group

Auburn is going to air it out...it's what Chip Lindsay does. But...

Does he have a QB? Yep

Does he have an OL? Hell yes

Does he have a running threat to keep guys in the box? Uh huh

Face it...AU is loaded at WR and is going to beat dat arse

Who is LSU returning? DJ Chark? Please. Did he light it up last season? Did he have 500 yards? Did ANY other LSU receiver have 200 yards? I don't know who the heck y'all have waiting in the wings that's going to have a great season...but by your rationale...and everyone else's here, LSU can't possibly have a passing game because none of the returning WR's had stellar #'s LAST YEAR. At least pointing out that Danny Etling will be delivering the ball to them has some merit.
