I can see Spurrier; he isn't what he was, but he was Great. Freeze is silly.

Not really. Freeze finished ahead of Miles this year. Miles took over a NC loaded team and has only kept that recruiting from sinking. Freeze took over a D3 caliber roster, a former 2* QB transfer from ArkState, and has gone from a #46 overall class to a #8, #15, #17, and the current #7 class.

While I would rank Miles slightly over Freeze, it's not a joke...a case can be made that he is a better coach right now. MUCH less talent, more in-state schools, a three game series that have all been decided by one possession.

and won 3 SEC West titles, 2 SEC Championships, 1 NC and appeared in another NC and was the quickest coach to 100 wins in SEC history.

i'll also remind you that he did all that while having Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett fricking Lee at QB for 4 years

The 'MUCH less talent' thing is getting old. There's not much of a [or no] talent gap between LSU & Ole Miss, especially after our 2011-2013 record setting NFL exodus

Under Miles, we haven't had #1 recruiting classes every year; we too have had several recruiting classes outside the top 10-15

Fallacy gon fallacy

You haven't had any lower than 14 according to the 247Composite average.

Ranking Cutcliffe (18) and Mullen (19) above Johnson (31) is more than enough to tell me this list is BS. With the exceptions of Freeze, Miles and Shaw, I don't see how any of the coaches 18-30 are ranked higher than CPJ. Sports journalism is so damn lazy.

I agree about Johnson. You could make a case for Meyer at #1 too.

The media does not think too highly of Les as a coach.
