In college football, matchups can sometimes create false appearances. The Hogs getting smashed by a hot Auburn team is a bit puzzling, and we can perhaps attribute some of it to match-ups, happenstance and talent.

But surely the Hogs are not THAT bad. Or are they? If so, especially with an above average QQ, what has caused the plummet?

I'm fully expecting us to trot out to Oxford, Mississippi and come back with an L, fwiw, because that's just how Auburn seems to operate

Matchups are important. Ole Miss has accounted for three of berts eight SEC wins while simultaneously handling the rest of the division fairly well. But you don't get to play Ole Miss but once a year.

Something something 8 straight weeks with no bye something something.

Everybody looks for an excuse.

Heaven knows I was searching for one in 2012 when we sucked.

Bottom line is that 99 out of 100 times, Arkansas coached by BB will get pummeled by Auburn and Gus.

They got ONE last year but it took a ton of overtimes to do it. They won't beat us again with this coaching matchup.

They are not. It was a perfect storm for us. That team was beat up, tired and pretty much out of steam. We were fresh and ready to play. Plus, Im sure the logo thing fired our guys up a little more

Auburn is more talented than Arkansas. Actually by a pretty good margin. But not 56-3

I do not expect our game this week to be quite that easy.

Apparently, the team was more injured than we thought, and having to play A&M, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn with no bye wore them out apparently.

Not to take anything away from Auburn or the arse pounding we received, but that's probably one reason. The other is the team just gave up.
