It looks like pressing doesn't work anymore. Archie Miller on the short list?

Miller just got an extension and seems comfortable at Dayton. He's on everyone's short list and can hold out for a better job than Arkansas.

I know this is a troll thread but I bet Fred Hoiberg will be the name that Arkansas fans will have first on their list if Arkansas does fire Anderson after this year (which I don't think will happen).

IF he does get fired (unlikely) it has to be someone that can keep his next 2 classes intact.

We'll trade the washing machine, AD, and Bert for him.

I do think it's interesting that gcockboi is trolling a coach who has made one tournament in five years while constantly deepthroating a coach who after this year will probably have made one tournament in five years

Duke and Ohio State are two that immediately come to mind

I don't think the OP is known for his quality material so it shouldn't be surprising here.

I guess I'll be needing training wheels for this talk. Out of teams that will be shopping for a coach after this season, who comes to mind?

No need to be condescending

Miller hasn't seemed to be eager to take a "better" job, so why is who will be shopping for a coach this year relevant?

He has a good situation at Dayton. He has a pretty easy path to the tournament every year, has complete job security, and can take whatever job he wants whenever he decides to leave. He'll be able to take a premiere job whenever one opens up (which Arkansas isn't), so why would he take a risky job now?

I'd guess he'll stay at Dayton until K retires or OSU fires Matta. I'd be surprised if Arkansas could lure him away from Dayton. They'd probably have to throw $3 mil at him and with Beliema probably getting the hook soon I don't think that's likely.

I'm still reeling from the loss. But yeah I don't have faith in the administration to go out and get anyone worth a damn. If they could I guarantee they find the money to keep them happy. But that's a huge if. I still consider Arkansas a pretty land for the right coach. But no faith in them finding that person.

I will agree with the sleeping giant as they've proven to win with multiple coaches. And it's not as if CBB has gotten more competitive since then. But it's not a better job than tOSU at this point.

OK, I'll give you that one.

Nah. Maybe slightly better, but not so much that a coach would write off Arkansas if it came down to the two. The highest salary offer probably wins between the two.

The state of Arkansas produces elite talent every year and they're like what 2 hours from Memphis which also produces elite talent and I'm preety sure they won a natty in the 90s and have a shite ton of final 4's and a nice arena. Also fan support. They have everything you need to win big there.

Ohio State has better basketball history, a much better natural recruiting base, and success within the past twenty years

Ohio State is a Top 10 job in college basketball and Arkansas is probably borderline Top 25. The two jobs aren't comparable

Plus, Miller has OSU ties
