I've taken that route before. Surprises me how quickly the scenery changes.

Do yourself a favor and take the old pig trail Hwy 71 from Alma to Fayetteville. Some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see in Arkansas

It takes a little more time, but Barneyb is right. I used to know that stretch from Alma to Fayetteville like the back of my hand.

The actual "pig trail" is ar 23 then ar 16 from Ozark.

Both routes have great scenery. Anyone going the first time from the southeast should go up one and back the other

If you go up a day or two early the scenic train is a relaxing day also. We did this one year when the leaves were changing and my wife loved it

Truth.

Still good advice, though. Highway 23 is awesome. So is 71.

Any way you come into Northwest Arkansas is nice. Especially if you're driving in from that shithole to the west of us (Oklahoma.)

Seriously though, I had box seats to the LSU game two years ago and the view was great. The only problem was I couldn't see the score board unless I got up and walked like 10 ft. Def. not primo box but if your sitting ON the boxes I would imagine their aren't much better seats in the house unless you want to get crazy.

What's great is when your bus driver has been in multiple "accidents", usually smells like booze, and threatens to beat children with his shoe. And you learn that he is the guy who is going to drive the basketball team down highway 23 at 10pm on a Friday night.

Good times.
