Probably one of the greatest halftime shows ever
in college football. The creativeness, pageantry and story of that show is unbelievable
Only thing that could compare maybe would have been the Stanford band halftime show against Iowa in the Rose Bowl with the "Farmers only"

Oh look.
Another sip alter.
Crazy how many of 'em continue to register here.
Perhaps go visit Nebraska on a B10 board or CU on a Pac-12 site?
You don't see Tech, Baylor, KSU, KU, etc fans flocking over here.
It's odd that the sips are so lonely and bereft.

We've been terrorizing Aggies since the 1800s, why stop now? It's fun.

At least you're honest and can admit to being here to "terrorize" Ags, which is more than I can say for the orange ilk who insist on hiding behind dorky, fraudulent usernames, only to appear out of the blue in Texas A&M-related threads. I can't imagine stalking another conference's message board the way they do; it's awkward.

I have a degree in history from a certain university.

When you study history you find out the voice that is most dominant usually is accepted as the truth.
If this is true why wonder why UT fans and alum flock over here like I am sure people connected with UT understand why the SEC wants to silence them

Well I joined this site in 2008, and I was a little perturbed at the aggy revisionist history that spewed forth from y'all's fingertips when you first changed conferences.

It was nonstop and in hindsight, silly.

5-star QBU and "we rule this state" that y'all were saying seems like an eon ago, eh? You've digressed from "we're going to take over SEC football as the only team from Texas" to "damn, these guys are good. No shame in losing." Pretty pitiful, if you ask me.

I knew that y'all would fall flat on your face because that's what aggy does.

By the way, I have never created an alter account.

Just as long as you have the ability to talk any class in the humanities is easy. The difficult part is being able to see facts through miles of bullshite.

This site here is perfect example on how a new Dark Age is the future in the West. People accept what they hear as the truth instead of asking questions.

Very simple questions
1 What is going to happen to A&M when they are in a down period and UT is winning big. Before you had the luxury of playing UT but now that is not the case

2. Why does A&M feel like they are too good to play other universities in Texas. After the 2018 season it will 3 out of 4 seasons that Aggy doesn't play any school from Texas. Is playing Ole Miss more important than a school in Texas
Do you not understand your own state.

3. Why couldn't Aggy beat UT on the playing field.
If they couldn't beat them on the playing field maybe there is another issue at hand.
This issue is what I call the Aggy syndrome. A very dangerous mental condition that may eventually end up in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders)
Aggy will be a synonym for delusions of grandeur

As an over 40 fan as much as hog fans gripe about not wanting texas in the sec many would love having that one game back on the schedule every year. Back in the day its what we lived for. Weve had plenty of memorable wins in the sec but none match the fever pitch of a hogs and horns game. Its was more than just a football game it was big rich arrogant cheating longhorns against the little poor state of honest Arkansans. (Pre walmart). It was David vs Goliath in every sense. Win or lose we were gonna figbt. When we won and knocked them off their high horse it was magical but even in defeat they knew they were in a fight and would feel it the next week. I love playing all the sec teams much more than the teams of the old swc but tjat one game a year i can honestly say i miss it.

"Once upon a time there was a 'happy place' called the Southwest Conference....where everything was peaceful, and quiet".

Yeah, except for all but three teams being on some sort of probation (except Arkansas, TCU and Rice) and a prominent member recently being handed the Death Penalty in football... Just a quiet, peaceful, happy place.

Everyone should watch that for about 30 seconds. Lolololol.

There really is a lot going on there. Arkansas is described as "money-loving, 'non-Texans'" who ran off to join the "Saddam Hussein of College football". There's also a jab at the Texas Legislature (which allegedly blocked Texas and TAMU from joining us in the SEC at the time).

Then they conclude with "the rest of the conference lived happily ever after". Sure, for four years, until a decent offer was extended by the Big 8.

The PA really is fricking hilarious. You don't get away with that nowadays. Add to that the circus act and it's pure gold.

I do not know if the Stanford band is still banned from preforming at games but they are notorious about mocking opponents during halftime.

USC paid back Stanford one year as well but besides that occurance I cannot think of any other

There was a huge issue about BYU whining about Stanford being bigots when Stanford's band put on a show about the Mormon church
Of course the two Jan 1st Bowls. The Dust Bowl show with Oklahoma St and Farmers Only with Iowa

You do not remember hearing anything about their halftime show against Michigan St in the Rose Bowl

That would be Wally Pryor, who along with his brother, Cactus, had radio voices and were old Austin money who were in thick with Lyndon Johnson.

He was removed in 99/2000 because some folks thought his comments on the PA were bitter and snide and perhaps he would do something really stupid. That's how I recall it going down.

He had been the voice of Texas Memorial Stadium since 1956.

In short, Wally Pryor witnessed a ton of Texas wins over Arkansas.
