Doesn't work like that. Your competing against the nation, not just UF.

Nope, doubt it. Why I said 4 on the last page.

Say it as many times as you want, but I've been following college ball closely for 10 years. I know how it works. The SEC could be a 3 host league this year just like it could be a 6 host league next year.

At this point the following teams have a fairly easily better resume than Ark.
LSU
A&M
UCLA
Vandy
UF
TCU
UCSB
DBU
USC
MSU
FAU
UL
OSU
UM
FSU
UI
tOSU

Then you have a handful of teams with similar resumes.
UH
ASU
UNC
UVA
Rice

So assume UF falls off; UH, ASU, UNC, UVA, and Rice all finish so-so; and Ark keeps winning games. That still puts you about 17 in the pecking order.

Dam, with that remaining schedule yall will be in the top 10 by the end of the season. No reason you don't sweep at least one of those last two. Just hope you guys don't get soft playing pussies the rest of the way.

That's great, but fortunately the hosts selected don't go in an exact RPI order. No selection at all goes in RPI order. Just ask LSU fans about 2011 and being left out completely with an RPI of 24. Or Arkansas hosting as a two seed 8 years ago.

Fact is, the SEC is the #1 league, again in college baseball and will be rewarded as such. Just as it has in 2014(5 hosts) and 2013(4 hosts).

Arkansas has a top 10 SOS. Couple that with finishing top 4 in the toughest league in the land, then yes, there is certainly a chance for Arkansas to host over UF of the Gators keep slipping, like they have.

Once again they may end up with a better resume than UF, but Ark has plenty of marks against them. There is more to it than conference pecking order.

5 losses to teams outside the top 100.
A losing record vs the top 50
176 ranked non conference RPI
.500 record away from home

It just may work out where the SEC only has 3 hosts, but then has 6 or 7 2 seeds. That is still showing the conference plenty of respect.

Now y'all are baseball fans again? That's cool. It's been a quiet season so far.

Van Horn and Vitello will be a deadly combo in the future. Vitello is recruiting at levels never seen for Arkansas. Probably our 2nd straight #1 class coming in next year.

I thought we were dead in the water earlier this season to be honest, you have to tip your hat to Van Horn and his players for turning things around in the homestretch of the season.

Yeah, the new Fowler Family indoor baseball facility helps, too.

Yeah we had a terrible start. Everyone thought for sure this was the year our NCAA streak would end.
