Saw where this thread was linked from one of the taterhead boards. Seems some taterheads are now hawg fans.

Clemson Taters is derived from the formation of their athletic donation program (IPTAY). In the early part of IPTAY's formation, the founders thought that $10 a year might be too much money for some of their fans.

Clemson fans are taterheads because their booster club is referred to as and aptly named, "IPTAY." (ep-tay)
Clemson fans like to say it means that back in the 1920s when the club was formed it stood for "I Pay Twenty Dollars A Year." Of course, that would be IPTDAY.
What IPTAY really means is "I plant taters all year." They were Clemson A&M in the day, all male, mostly Ag students, tater planters and sheep humpers. Thus, we refer to them as "taterheads," and it is quite apropos as, if you will notice, many of them have these little taters growing in their ears even today ... little waxy nasty taters in there.
Now I'm sure to rustle the jimmies of one UGA fan and one A&M fan who are closet taterheads around here, but the fact remains, latching onto and riding the coattails of the taterheads will cause your program to be inflicted with the blight of the taterhead curse - which is what the piggies are experiencing right now.
They have no one to blame but themselves for what happened this past weekend. I gave them plenty of warning two weeks ago and reminded them of it last week.

No need for panic just yet but it's sure not looking good. Timely hitting has been a pretty consistent problem for us year to year...was hoping that would change but looks to be following the same frustrating trend.
