Juan Day tore his ACL back in the Spring but has already returned to practice (as of yesterday). Probably won't play until the Texas Tech game, but he'd be a nice piece for the bench with the loss of Jonathan Williams.

quote:

Bielema said Day is a different kind of back than other ones the Razorbacks plan to use this season.

"He's real tall," Bielema said. "What I've loved about him is on our outside zone plays he's got a good pace to him, a good gallop. He kind of reminds me, his style of (former Wisconsin running back) Melvin Gordon when we had him - a real tall, lengthy, good runner."

That is good to hear, I wasn't sure he would be back in time for most of the season so giving him a medical redshirt seemed likely.

It's still an AWFULLY quick turnaround after a torn ACL. Are there varying degrees of ACL tears where some tears are worse than others and have a quicker rehab timeframe?

coach B said it would be 3 or 4 weeks before he is really ready but they are spoon feeding him for now.

It took Adrian Peterson 6 months. Confirmed Juan Day is better than Adrian Peterson

If he does come back that quickly, it means Bert doesn't give a damn about his safety.

He was listed as the #1 Senior RB this year..... I'd say his career went quite fine here.

Wut. In essentially 2 years of playing he's #10 all time in rushing yards for Arkansas.
