Their Oline and running backs look just as good or better than what he had at Wisconsin. If he can do what he did Saturday to the SEC than his philosophy on offense will succeed in the SEC. IDK how he makes OLineman that good, but he does.

Definitely improved, toughened, and motivated, to what degrees the gap has been closed is TBD in SEC play.

Because he's fat and knows how to relate...

I'd say we got a good sample against Auburn. We had our way with them the entire first half, about as dominant as against Tech. But it looked like our conditioning on the line wasn't enough for the start of the season. If that gets shored up, I wouldn't be surprised if what happened against Auburn in the first half happens to everyone we face to an extent. We aren't going to keep averaging 7.9 a carry, but I doubt we get held under 4 a carry very often this year. The big factor will be of our wideouts and TE's can get over their case of the dropsies. We've had huge plays negated by drops many times this season already just like last year. If we can't make those catches consistently, SEC teams are just going to put 9 in the box and we're going to have issues.

That's how I see it as well. I think we have the talent to have a respectable passing game but generally we have not been in sync with either Allen missing throws or receivers not being able to make catchable passes. I think we can work it around with Henry, Derby, the WR's and the backs. While overall the execution has not been what it should be, there were some good throws and catches (along with some bad ones) in the TT game although of course there was no need to throw much.

Down the stretch we are going to have to be able to execute better in the passing game and we'll need to accomplish that getting back to the SEC competition if we are going to have a realistic chance of winning some games.

Your running backs? Likely not. However, Allen will get sacked often by the better pass rushers in the conference, which will affect your ypc average.

Based on what? He's only been sacked once in three games.

ETA: Even in the shitstorm last season he was only sacked 7 times.

Brandon Allen himself was sacked 7 times in 2013 according to ESPN.

I don't think his Whisky teams would have fared well in the SEC, because they lacked the talent. However, as much as we struggle to recruit, we still recruit far better then he did at Wisconsin.

Should finish the West in a 3 way tie for first with LSU and Auburn, with 1 loss.

Conditioning wasn't their problem. Ellis Johnson doing away with his experiment on the D-line and putting the true tackles back in the middle was their problem. For reference, the last time we used that d-line package was in the first half against LSU last year... with similar results.

Be glad we abandoned the run in the second half or it would've been 45-28....bitch!

We won't see that formation much at all against KSU but until we get Lawson back we are probably going to see that Rhino formation again

BA couldn't make the throws to back the Auburn DLine off. It was as simple as that.

Also, with Marshall in the game we were under ever-increasing pressure to score every time we got the ball in the second half.

We were beaten by a better team when we played Auburn, but that doesn't change the fact that we are improving as a team pretty quickly and should be able to catch a few W's this year

I don't disagree. My only point was that the second half of that game had alot more to do with AU adjustments than it did with Arky o-line conditioning.

No.

We ran out of gas and Nick Marshall provided a spark.

Wasn't Ellis.
