until this week. Question is, do the pigs get back into the top 25 this year? They have a likely L coming this weekend, so, I say it may be a couple years before Arkansas climbs back into the polls. It may be even more, depending on the next coach, and how quickly he can get some talent back into the program. BP was a mastermind on offense, but left Arkansas very talent depleted. While many have argued that recruiting rankings mean nothing, I strong disagree.

They mean something from a depth perspective...

I think people are forgetting how close some of the games were that Petrino had against shitty teams. I think he left that program in terrible shape. It'll be interesting to see who they hire. Still too early to tell which way they will go insofar as when they will be solidly relevant again.

I don't think so, in terms of 2007. Also, yes, it means something from a depth perspective, but you guys don't have a lot of top talent on defense, period. Also, what's up with that OL. Wilson has hidden a lot of the flaws that will be coming out soon, imo. My opinion is that this team quits on the coach LONG before the end of the season.

I haven't. They were lucky to beat Vandy last year, as Vandy literally gave them the game. They also almost lost to what has to be one of the worst SEC teams I have seen in my lifetime in Ole Miss. Were also very fortunate against A&M, with A&M doing their famous second half collapse to blow a huge lead.
I agree with you, I don't see the talent there, at all. Despite what hog fans have been saying, you don't finish consistently around 25 or worse in recruiting, and expect to compete in the SEC. The great qb play of Wilson has hid a lot of the flaws.

You really have to wonder where Petrino left Arkansas on the OL and most of the defense. They seem like they lack a lot of talent on the OL and in the defensive back 7. If Tevin Mitchel is out for any length of time, they are in for a world of hurt.

I totally agree. The easiest thing to do here is to assume that Petrino would have won this game, but the issues here are far greater than who's the head coach. The rest of the staff is largely unchanged, which, by design, is what Arkansas wanted. I think the foundation had its cracks long before this game.

You can't compare 2 SEC teams (no matter how bad they are) to fricking ULM.

Truth which is why we needed some changes. We did so with the defensive staff for scheme and recruiting purposes....well FML if they don't suck too.
