My random thought of the day.
They seem complete mirrors of each other.
Here are some similarities:
*prone to mediocre to slightly better than average finishes more times than not
*1 or 2 Great Seasons a Decade
* elite status seems so close, yet in reality is so far away.
* 'scrappy' type image where superior opponents must often play their best game to win
* a superstar like McFadden comes along every so often and leads to great things.
*team often runs out of gas late in games or late in season

I don't think I know of a "great" Arkansas season since the 1970s. They've had very good ones. No great ones I can think of.

I'm sorry if finishing top 5 in the nation is not considered great to a Bama fan. Get over yourself.

Arkansas won 11 games and finished ranked 5th in 2011.
Arkansas won 10 games and made the Sugar Bowl in 2010. The division was stacked that year.
Arkansas went 7-1 in the division in 2006 and barely lost to eventual NC Florida in the SECCG. Auburn and LSU were both top 10 teams that season. Arkansas was a Trindon Holliday kickoff return for TD away from going undefeated in conference. McFadden was 2nd in the Heisman.
There's 3 great seasons for you over the last 9 years.

Agree. Both talk like they're powers within the respective sports, and everyone sort of pats them on the head and tells them that's nice.
