Bert has a two season bowl winning streak which embarrassingly is a school record.
Logistics just aren't on our side in football recruiting. Bert is doing a solid job in making the program competitive and seems to be a pretty good influence on these players in their personal lives.

You got a downgrade at DC. Your QB is a mess. Your coach can't adjust his play calling to his personnel. Your best defensive player is injury prone. You have an excruciatingly tough schedule.

Eh... Half of their season was incredibly ugly. They were all jumping off of Bielema midseason.

I truly believe Bielema had no idea how tough the SEC was until his first two years here. Coupled with a decimated roster and various arrests, it took him three solid seasons to build a decent team. No team should be satisfied with 7 or 8 wins as a peak but the progress that he is showing is encouraging.

yea no, that was 100% one of the reasons auburn fans gave for why gus would have success
then when myself and other fans would point out that chizik should be given some credit, aubies deflcted/denied and said it was all gus.

True and that is why I gained some respect for him. It would have been easy to quit after starting 1-3. It looked like we might win 2 or 3 games total. I'm not saying it excuses the early seasons blunders but not many thought we would reach a bowl after that start.

What? You think the only Arkansas fans appear on this website. I'm speaking in terms of all the fans. There was a large amount that was ready to start thinking about who the next coach was going to be in a few years after we starting 1-3.
