Is he expected to stay around? I just looked up a Depth Chart and he is not listed in the two deep

I remember Bama fans being so pissed when he decommitted.

QB scouting is absurdly difficult.

Has problems with learning the playbook. My understanding is he likes it in NWA and will probably stay, unless asked to leave. Pretty sure he is last on the depth chart and the true freshman has left him in the dust.

He is 4th on the chart right now. I think he ends up going to a small school eventually. The problem is between his ears by all accounts.

USC takes Mitch Mustain, gives Ricky Town. Arkansas can't catch a break

I haven't heard rumors of him leaving, but I expected him to compete for #2 if not #1. Competition must be pretty thick at our QB position. It would be interesting to see what he does. He may have much better opportunities if he waits one more year

He can't figure out how to hand the ball off?

He was 5th on the depth chart until one of our QBs transferred and we redshirted the true freshman so he's 3rd now. I doubt he ever plays here.

Having three or four good quarterbacks is a good problem to have.

That is looking like an even trade at this point since mustain didn't really do anything either.

he's not being pressed to contribute and he's still got plenty of time to develop

if he's where he's at on the depth chart in a couple years then he should probably look to transfer

This is a funny statement, but it is a common misconception of our Offense. Uninformed media talking heads tend to think all we do is run. Completely wrong. Berts O is pro style that relies on run to open up play action.

I'm assuming Towns problems are most likely he doesn't know how to read a D and make checks at the line. Knowing the playbook and reading D/making checks, is what made B Allens senior year (not to mention talent level finally got up to par).

Mitch's career would have been insanely better at Arky. He never had a chance at USC, he was fighting Aaron Corp, Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley for playing time.

As others have said I don't think he will ever see the field on gameday in Arkansas

Probably would have been under Petrino, but that would mean we probably wouldn't have gotten Mallett who was a much better QB.
