Let's look at 2015.

NMSU: 61-13 Florida 1-0
ECU: 31-24 Florida 2-0
@Kentucky: 14-9 Florida 3-0
Tenn: 28-27 Florida 4-0
Ole Miss: 38-10 Florida 5-0
@Mizzou: 21-3 Florida 6-0
WILL GRIER SUSPENDED
@LSU: 35-28 LSU 6-1
Georgia: 27-3 Florida 7-1
Vandy: 9-7 Florida 8-1
@SC: 24-14 Florida 9-1
FAU: 20-14 OT Florida 10-1
FSU: 27-2 FSU 10-2
Bama: 29-15 Bama 10-3
Michigan: 41-7 Michigan 10-4

So other than Georgia, Florida beat nobody worthwhile after the cheating QB got suspended. Florida's offense tanked afterwards.

If Florida has a bad year this year, will McElwain be exposed as a bad coach since Florida gets all this talent? How long would Florida put up with him, since they have such high expectations?

I didn't say anything about Muschamp. This thread isn't about South Carolina or Muschamp.

Everyone admits that McElwain won primarily due to Muschamps defense.
What you don't get is that Muschamp lost a shite ton with that same defense.

Don't forget they barely beat ECU and Kentucky (in double overtime) before Grier was suspended. Been trying to tell UF fans, McElwain will leave UF in worse shape than Muschamp did.

I'm not sold on anybody after one year. Take a look at my team for my reason why.

Well, you'd better be. At this rate he's likely to be the USC-e coach one day.

Can he recruit top level offensive and defensive players? That's one of my biggest questions.

You're barking up the wrong tree here

Always need a few more years - but I thought McElwain did a good job with Greir and did as much as he could with Harris.

I think his biggest question marks are recruiting at an elite level and his assistants. I think at worst hes an 8-10 win coach, though. I don't think there is much chance he is actually a giant dumpster fire waiting to explode.
