Are there any referee threads anywhere from the Bama blowout?

Not that I've seen. Refs were a non-issue last night. I think the LSU reaction this morning adequately reflects that.

Saw one complaining about interfering with the opportunity to catch.

The good thing about this game is that it was so decisive that any attempt to make it about the refs would just come across as petty.

There were a few last night on the T-rant. They claimed the refs didn't start throwing flags at Bama until the game was secured by the Tide...

I'm so glad Bama won so decisively that it couldn't be an issue.

Link those please. There were a few comments in the in-game thread, but there hasn't been much, if any, discussion on it last night or this morning.

Saw some people arguing about whether this is actually five in a row or not...

I haven't seen much. It looked like pretty fairly called game. I thought Fitz actually started to tackle the return guy before he caught it but that was a pretty bang bang play. One question I had was the leap on the PAT. It was amazing to watch but I could have sworn you couldn't leap like that on PAT's.

Exactly. There were no controversial calls, really. So most of the discussion on tRant has been regarding poor preparation and execution, not biased refereeing.

That and the fact that Alabama had nearly double the penalty yards called on it that LSU had.

LSU: 7 for 48 Bama: 9 for 88

I love a good LSU beatdown where the only thing LSU fans can whine about is Les Miles.

Some saying it should actually be five of the last of the last six and not "truly 5 in a row"

Without the typical incessant ref bitching threads, the Tiger fans have gone straight to complaining about coaching, etc.
I'm sure they'll find a time to double up on it, since they weren't able to last night.

Hmm? As far as I know, PATs are functionally little different from FGs. You can do what's necessary to block it and have to be careful not to touch the kicker if you fail on the attempt. Same basic concerns and same basic freedom in how you defend the kick.

Your right tackle was holding like a mofo in the first half. My only complaint.
