Not sure how you can list Eason without listing Patterson.

Eason played all season long and got the shite kicked out of him. If you noticed the difference between our game early in the season and then watched him at the end it was very apparent that he had progressed a lot. You either sink or swim as a true freshman and he was hitting his stride at the end.

As far as Shea goes I am hopeful. Good and young wrs, hopefully better running game, and some young talent on OLine all the tools are in place for him to excel.

Lock will go in the first round.

People on this board are stupid.

Not to mention that Eason had a terrible O line. I liked Bentleys composure and I didn't see Ole Miss QB enough other than to see how gifted he is. Again, Lock hasn't impressed me at all. He destroys the horrible OOC teams, but struggled mightily against P5

He has a long ways to go to be a first round QB. He's barely above 50% for his career completion percentage wise. It's more than just looking the part these days

Because Eason fits the prototypical "mold" that pro teams look for. 6-5 with a strong arm. Those guys will always project high even if they aren't very good. Look at Hackenburg. You could tell in college that he sucked but he still got drafted ahead of guys that are better than him because of his size and "intangibles".

Assuming he does sign, Myles Brennan in Canada's system (or even Narcisse if his knees are good) could be in the conversation.

We go through this song and dance every year. As an LSU fan, I'll wait until we actually produce a capable QB before anointing incoming QBs potential first rounders.

Bentley is a potential 1st rounder, with Eason and Stidham possibly a top 3-4 round pick

He struggled against LSU and UF. He was fine against everyone else on the whole.

That LSU game really just fricked our whole season. The worst game I have seen a Tiger team play in many years. It kind of snowballed and carried into the next week even.

As for Lock, he has some things to work on with regards to reads and accuracy but he has the most arm talent of any QB in the SEC with only Eason having an argument otherwise.

People prove how little they understand the process by mentioning Bentley, who I think is great btw, but he doesn't have the measurables.

Something that works in locks favor is he will only be a junior. Again I don't think he is a 1st rounder, but like you say he has a ton of arm talent. He didn't just struggle against UF, he was 4/18 for 39yds and 2 ints. Again I don't think he is horrible, but a 1st rnder? Besides what do I know, Gabbert-Ponder- EJ Manuel all prove that NFL teams reach in the 1st

Stidham doesn't project well at the next level. Look at every QB from Auburn and Baylor excluding Cam.

So Stidham doesn't project well because... well, look at Auburn and Baylor's QB historically. That's some A+ logic.

For once we agree.

Dude is actually insanely blessed. Not going to pin him 1st round since the NFL is dumb but 1-3 for sure. And this day and age, not a huge difference.

Lock has certainly had his struggles as a true FR and SO, but he's still very talented. Don't forget that he was an Elite Eleven QB out of high school and a two-sport athlete. He still has plenty of time to mature and improve. I wouldn't be surprised to see him taken in the 1st round some day.

I was super impressed with his arm vs us.

Granted are secondary is a joke but he's got some serious zip for a dude that size. Can't coach that.

/agree. But, after seeing the difference Aranda made on defense, I am cautiously optimistic that Canada can do the same on offense. If he can fix that Florida QB that went to NC St, maybe he can fix our guys. Brennan and Narcisse certainly have the raw talent to work with.

What measurables is he lacking? He's accurate, has the arm strength to throw the deep out easily, 6'3 223.

He had a better completion percentage against UF than lock too. Also the dude is like 15 and was just straight ballin out there for a while. I was very impressed.
