With rumors of Brian Kelly and Butch Jones putting out feelers for a new role it got me wondering are less prominent roles more attractive. They are staying to pay an extremely nice salary (not 5 million), and they are sustainable aka you will have some bad years and not get run out on a rail. I wonder with the pay scale if some of these jobs are just better.

I know you want to run with the big dogs, but I wonder when you trail the big dogs if you think hey being the spoiler at Cincy was a ton more rewarding.

A guy like Dan Mullen doesn't have a bad set up. 4mil per year, new facilities, in state talent enough to bring in top 25 classes, and a fan base that will allow for a rebuilding year without putting for sale signs in his yard.

Lyle's agent has been floating his name for the Houston and Purdue openings and neither of them were interested.

Hart isn't going to fire him and won't let him leave without getting the buyout money. We're in a stalemate.

Purdue would take him, but they're not going to pay us to get him.

No

LSU is just a shitty school, in a shitty city, in a shitty state. Throw in shitty fanbase with shitty high expectations and you get Ned

He can't handle the criticism of the fans and local media.

BTW, our local media is a bunch of ball washers who have given him the benefit of every doubt until recently. Lyle is S.A.W.F.T.

it really could screw up timing and search if he grabbed a job late in the cycle.

Yeah, there really isn't anyone out there unless they can somehow get lane.. seems to be a good fit for them but just dont see it

unsure why PJ Fleck or some of those candidates didn't get more traction at LSU. They would be good.

actually in my heart I know why they didn't get traction. :sadpanda

Because he's a pussy who can't handle coaching at a program that demands more than 8-4. Plus, UT is going to be bad next year and he knows it.
