Do we as a nation invest too much in collegiate sports? The ncaa makes a ridiculous amount of money every year and it is either distributed via salaries, equipment, or other expenses.

Could we find a way to distribute revenue in order to help fund more opportunities within our schools?

I find it crazy how the average tuition for a University in Germany, for example, is about 500 euros per semester, while ours in the United States is well over thousands per semester. That is not including books, housing, or food.

UA has made hundreds of millions on the Saban hire and he's made a few million in salary. The return on investment can't be measured.

of course not. in a capitalistic society the cream rises to the top.

it's a shame that we place that kind of value on football but it is what it is.

Fair market value, you have to spend money to make money, and some other stuff.

the obvious answer in a philosphical sense is yes.

all performers are

in a business sense, only the bad ones

Saban helps Bama win and because they win they general way more than they pay him.

American rockets reach the moon and come back.

German rockets reach London and explode.

How much?

This is a dumb statement. You distribute profits, not revenues.

How is this related to the original point?

The amount of money CFB makes with how many hours they have to work with game plan, practice, and recruiting , I'd say that deserve what they make. Especially with how volatile their jobs are
