$3.5/yr for 5 years? Really? Damn. That's probably more than Orgeron is getting, or close.

Why didn't they just hire him as head coach?

Damn. They can't afford Kiffin if they're paying him and Orgeron

That's Orgeron's salary dipshit.

Aranda's is rumored to be right at or under $2 million per year.

That was what was reported on Huntsville's 97.7 sports radio last night. I thought it was crazy so I was looking for confirmation.

Aranda signed a 3 year deal not a 5 year deal. Most ppl think that if orgeron doesn't work out aranda is the next head coach in line. Probably why his salary will increase but he won't be making 3.5. If LSU gets kiffin however I do think he'd make a number VERY close to orgerons probably around 3m

Kiffin makes 700k right now and has all sorts of baggage. There is no way LSU offers him 3m. There *might* be 10 offensive or defensive coordinators in the entire country who make 1m. In the SEC you have Chavis (highest at 1.5), Pruitt (at 1.3) and Steele (at 1.1m).

LSU paying Aranda 2m for three years *guaranteed* is crazy, if true. If you guys throw an even better deal at Kiffin then you have truly lost your minds and it would signal an early panic warning that the coach O experiment is starting off on shaky footing.

No more crazy than:

Malzahn will make $4.725 million per year through Dec. 31, 2020.

I dont agree. We arent paying our head coach 6M so we can pay a little more to our coordinators.

Kiffin makes $1.4 right now. They doubled his salary last year.

LSU was paying Cam Cameron $1.5 to run Bo Schmebechler's garbage. Paying Kiffin north of $2mil won't surprise anyone at all.

And only because they didn't have to pay him more previously, because every dollar they would have paid him mitigated against his USC buyout. I'm not sure Auburn fans understand how that works.
