Agree, why is State not ranked instead of LSU?

Bulldogs don't have an embarrassing Sun Belt loss...

How is West Virginia, who nearly "Texas A&M'ed" a loss to Baylor, ranked above LSU and Iowa State, who actually have quality wins?

Because we beat Auburn when they were ranked and auburn took you to the woodshed. Pretty simple concept.

Given the current state of the SEC, I do not even know if I would say a 1-loss Alabama being left out would them being screwed.

However, GA, who beat ND getting left out after having beat ND would be a total screw job.

I think Alabama is a very strong team, but the OOC win they have is FSU. Now I think FSU was poised to be good, but the qb injury killed that. Does not change the fact that Alabama will likely have only played a few mid to lower ranked teams from the SEC West, while GA would have a win against ND @ ND.

I hope it becomes moot. I hope NC state beats them or Miami does.

A 1 loss Alabama is getting in no matter what. The NCAA would never let that happen as long as the $ is rolling in

So we are ranking quality of wins over the season as a whole?

Congrats, Georgia on being No. 1

They should be. Isn’t that the most fair way?

Georgia has more quality wins than Alabama.

Yeah Iowa State and WVU are both 5-2 and have 98 and 196 votes respectively, while USC is 5-2 and only has 2 votes. Iowa State and WVU have wins against such notables as Northern Iowa (FCS), Delaware (FCS), Akron, Kansas (winless), Baylor (winless). Iowa St. at least beat top 10 Oklahoma, but WVU has 0 wins against top 25 opponents.

USC has yet to play any FCS opponent, has a top 15 win, and our losses were to opponents who are both 5-2 thus far. And we get two measly votes.....

I agree completely about WVU, we shouldnt be ranked at all after shitting the bed vs Kansas and Baylor, barely escaping both with wins.

Over who?

1 loss Notre Dame? Nope

1 loss Penn State/Ohio State/MI State? Nope
An undefeated Wisconsin? Nope

1 loss Clementine/Miami/VA Tech? Nope

if those 3 are in play, SEC is guaranteed only one team

Even an undefeated UCF/USF or one loss Washington/Wazzou trumps a a loss SEC potentially

A 1 loss Bama is not assured an invite

Ding dong

Exactly what I tried to explain to another LSU fan. You can change the wording of it, but what the media wants is still the legacy team. If they're available, they're going to the playoffs.

A 1 loss Alabama is in the playoffs. Period. It's not my decision but it'd happen.

You aren't even trying. A 2 loss Bama gets in over three quarters of the scenarios you listed.

Clemson needs to drop. They lost to freaking Syracuse. And auburn sucks. Who cares about that win
