Quit. Find a hobby that is cheaper, and that you actually enjoy.

Put you feetr beneath your shoulders.
Don't hunch your back, try to keep your back and neck fairly straight and aligned and bend out at your hips like you're pushing your butt out. Keep a little flex in your knees. You should feel centered.
Have a loose, one motion swing. Don't swing too far back, and oncee you downswing make sure to fire your shoulders around and end you swing with your chest facing the target and hold your pose.

Was there a list y'all were working off of? I hope the evening provides quality and y'all didn't blow yalls load during the day.

Somehow I didn't catch it. I was really excited to talk golf.

Good instruction. I'd also add to make sure your front swing has the same tempo as your back swing. If chipping or putting, the back swing distance from the ball should be the same as the follow through
Hope this helps, buddy

Very difficult game with so many variables. Also, if your frequency of play is less than a couple of times a week, it makes it that more difficult.
I played through High School and College 7 days a week, with 3 or 4 months off in the Winter. In later life, I was able to play fairly well, even when only playing once or twice a week.
If you have the time and the desire, instruction can be very helpful, but be wary of a teacher that is trying to teach you too many things. One thing at a time.
I spent 10 years after college as a club pro, and then the remainder of my working career in the golf business.

Go to Golftec. Those guys kickass at fixing swing flaws, but they aren't cheap.
This is assuming you have some talent.

I do. I even cheat and everyone knows it! Oh well, I'll just compensate by dressing tackily and trying to give the impression that I am of a higher station.

Always had problems with my grip. Hold the club in your hands like a small baby bird.

What's your handicap?
What equipment are you using?
Has all your equipment been professionally fitted?

If I understand what you are saying - no, no. Tour players backswings take twice as long as their downswing. Ratio is almost always 2:1 no matter what the "tempo" is. If you can swing with this ratio/tempo than you are half way to a good swing.
