It's my understanding that the folks Carolina return from last year weren't necessarily playmakers. That doesn't mean their experience won't be valuable, but it's not enough to lose sleep over.

I expect the game to be close, maybe through Q3, but Chubb and the rest of the RB stable to wear them down and run at will for the remainder of the game.

Hopefully more will believe the hype (not that we're getting a ton) after the game.

You have a great offense. I think QB is a small key for you, but he seems like a legit successor.

The real key to this game will be your DL. If Chizik can get that run "D" working we could be in for a tough night. With Chubb coming off a huge injury and Michel hurt, we are thin at the DL and RB spots.....NEVER a good combination.

The ONLY good thing I can see is the game will be played under controlled weather conditions. With the uptempo pace your offense plays at, it will help a bit not to have to fight the heat.

Should be a great, close game. Let's just hope there aren't any injuries.

UNC had a talented offense, but I believe they have a new guy under center.

While true...the new guy got some snaps last year, and in limited time looked very, very good.

Not sure where you heard that, but we return nearly all of our playmakers from last year.

New guy is supposedly just as good and maybe even better than the old guy.

Always the case.

I know Chaney is good at evaluating his weapons, and now that Chubb is clear, all bets are off at taking this game Big XII-style.

Hey y'all.

To answer the OP, I'm not buying into UNC just yet for two reasons: their 2015 schedule and GA's their 1st game.

Last year, UNC played only 2 regular season teams that finished with winning conference records - Pitt & Miami (6-2/5-3), all the rest of UNC's regular season conference opponents had a combined record of something like 14-45.

Historically, Fedora's UNC teams play pretty poorly their first game. Take 2015 as an example with their opening loss to 3-9 SCar. And I may be mistaken, but I don't think Fedora has beaten a ranked team while at UNC. Now they play game 1 in ATL vs ranked GA.

And GA will be the biggest, fastest defense that QB Trubisky has ever faced, and it's his first start trying to live up to all the hype he's received. I think Marquise Williams tweeted Trub would get them to the playoffs. So there's high expectations for him. Maybe some first game jitters and he tries to force some throws.

Just my 2 cents. Really looking forward to the game & seeing CKS's Dawgs hunker down. Hoping for a clean, well-played, well-refed, injury-free game. Go Dawgs!

How do you know this? Go back and watch the first 2 ark drives vs Uga in 2014.
