At halftime thought it was 50/50….. 3rd quarter still had some faith by the fourth I knew the bed was wet and it was a done deal.
Improvement in the program is evident fwiw.

So at the very end of the game you made your bold prediction?

I thought they had a very good chance to win before the game. Looked like they would up 17-0 and dominating. Then, Butch decided to play not to lose.

When Tenn went up early, my thought was OU would come back and make it a game and likely to come back and win.
Reasons were lack of depth and a bad need to shorten the game, which is why many coaches go more conservative in games.

Good point. It's hard to hold onto a lead when you are facing major out of conference competition like Oklahoma or Indiana. Winning those games take a lot of character.

Before the game, no but then Rocky Fail had me believing a it in the 3rd and going "they can't blow this can they?" in the 4th. Oh well, after we beat them in 10 days or so Vol fans can go back into hibernation.

Up 17-3 half way through the 4th quarter and we blow a 2 TD lead. It makes me want to throw up.
Dominated the game until the time it mattered most.
Brutal loss. This team has taken a major step forward, but that was a tough pill to swallow.

You should be confident, after your dominating performance over Eastern Carolina.

Don't forget, they put almost as many points on NMSU as Arkansas State did.
You've heard of Arkansas State? The team Mizzou beat by a whole touchdown this past week.

I believed. I was wrong.

The transitive rule doesn't work from one game to another. Much less from one season to another
Yall are reaching. The fan base is cracking and Butch is starting to get exposed. The full exposure will be complete after Florida wins for the 11th straight year, Bama wins for the 9th straight year, and UGA wins for the 7th straight year.
How does it feel to have 5+ year losing streaks to each of your top 3 rivals? Tennessee is the only team to suffer something like that against rival teams over a span that long

I'm not talking transitive theory...I didn't say that UT would beat Florida because UF squeaked out a win over a mediocre opponents. I said that you should probably spend more time concerned about the pending implosion of your own team, rather than worrying about Tennessee's team.

I picked tenn in pick em...so yeah I believed. Was feeling great about my pick for 3 quarters too.
Even with the Tennessee melt down I went 12-3 so it wasn't all bad

I was very confident in OU to win. The First half Tennessee played great. Getting the field goal in the first half helped alleviate my worries a bit, but the Vols were truly surprising me with their defense.
But the second half was all sooners. Going into OT, you just kind of knew that OU with the momentum was probably going to pull out the win.
Was not impressed with Dobbs or any of the Vols Offense really. Defense was outstanding. Held down the Sooners for as long as possible...but the offense didn't come through at all in the 2nd half.

You've implied since last weekend that because Florida scored 61 on NMSU and Ark St scored 68, Ark St is better. When you get called out on it, you change it up.
I'm more worried about how UF responds this week in practice and against Kentucky on Saturday. If we still come out flat and playing like shite, not only will we lose, but it'll be a strike against Mac's ability to adjust and take control of the team.

By the end, it was evident that the Vols had lost all momentum.
But at the start of the game? I figured they had better than 50% shot to win.
