that Nick Fitzgerald breaks John Bond's single game rushing record the week before the LSU game? For those of you that don't know, Bond is the only QB in the history of college football to start 4 games against LSU and win them all.

you are right about that. Bond had our number. by the time the 4th game started, I knew we were fricked.

Yes, because LSU was HUGHLY motivated in those years....immediately following the disappearance and assumed death of their coach.

Yeah, that was tragic. But are you seriously arguing that the death of a coach who was there for, what, a month following the end of one season sunk the program for years following? Seems unlikely, and even a little exploitative.
