No.

If you believe Bertman, Nick did not really want to go to Miami in the first place, but Huizenga had opened up the check book. He bought off Terri Saban first.

Will they call? Probably. I would.

Will he take their offer? No.

And no offense to Saban, I am an auburn man through thick and thin but I have to give Saban the credit he deserves. No matter what reasons and whatnot led to this dynasty, Saban orchestrated it without getting caught for any cheating, thus far.

I doubt Saban would want to go to the NFL. He'd have to start over and create something new when he's not even sure if he'd have success doing it, especially not at the same rate as in college.

I think the only thing that would make the jump worth it to Saban is being able to overtake Bill B. Without head to heads, only one of them has the super bowl rings so only one of them gets the title they both want.

They will call, he will answer, then Alabama matches the offer plus a little extra. Probably happens every year.

Nick Saban to Saints.
Sean Payton to Alabama.

Not a chance. At Bama he can have athletes that are so much better than anyone else that it makes him look great. In the NFl the illusion would be shattered.

Isn't made for NFL.

Too much of a control freak.

He doesn't know how to work the NFL player coach relationship.

100% chance he's contacted.

VERY, VERY little chance he leaves.

Statement made during 1-9 game by commentators:

"Why would he go to the NFL? There he only has one first round draft pick each year. At Alabama he has four or five every year."

He's 65 years old. How much longer do you really expect him to coach before retires? NFL head coaching jobs usually involve taking over teams that are going to be a rebuilding project. I can't see him wanting to walk away from what he's got at Bama to relocate for an NFL rebuilding project at his age. As much as I want to see him leave Bama, he's not going anywhere until he retires.

He probably gets interest every year from different NFL teams. I seriously doubt that he'll ever try to coach in the NFL again.

Saban is 65 years old. Do you honestly think that he wants to try and rebuild an NFL team at this point in his career?

Alabama is at the top of the mountain right now and their program is on cruise control. I'm convinced that Bama will be his last coaching destination.
