I posted it in the other thread, but t.u. has been turned down by coaches at Virginia, TCU, Vanderbilt, Florida, & Louisville so far.

ShaggyTexas every time a "shoo-in" Texas candidate signs a contract extension with their original team:

It takes some time to rebuild a baseball program. If I were a high profile coach with a winning program, another team would have to throw a hell of a lot of money my way, for me to jump ship. Honestly, Texas is nice, but it's not a place I dream to live in. Now if Miami, Hawaii, Alaska, Maine, or Oregon came calling, I'd be in.

Supposedly Barnhart is interviewing coaches out on the West Coast while he's in Oregon for the NCAA Track and Field Championships (per WildcatMike). Supposedly Jewitt (Vandy assistant) and Mingione (State assistant) are in the running.

There was some hub bub that UCSB's HC, Checketts, was interested in the position but I have a feeling with them taking down Louisville in a Super that bigger programs may come calling. Who knows.

My only thought is that it's been incredibly quiet on UK's front because they're interested in someone that's in a Super Regional.

Funny, Utx was the one so against Louisville joining the Big 12 but here they are going after their coaches.

I have this feeling as well. While you say UCSB winning may have put him out of reach, he did it against the Line Beards at the Line Beards home field. Pretty sure that will not be lost on some UK donors. Especially with trying to get the new ballpark built.

Texas has only had 4 baseball coaches ever

And the last 3 have left being the all time most winning coach in NCAA

I'm sure they will get someone good
