College GameDay
Lee Corso: South Carolina (over Kentucky), Vanderbilt (over Kansas State), LSU (over Mississippi State), Florida (over Tennessee)
Kirk Herbstreit: Kentucky (over South Carolina), Kansas State (over Vanderbilt), Mississippi State (over LSU), Tennessee (over Florida)
Desmond Howard: South Carolina (over Kentucky), Vanderbilt (over Kansas State), LSU (over Mississippi State), Tennessee (over Florida)
Rece Davis: Purdue (+7) over Missouri (SuperDog Pick)
Rick Pitino (guest picker): South Carolina (over Kentucky), Vanderbilt (over Kansas State), LSU (over Mississippi State), Tennessee (over Florida)

Tim Tebow: South Carolina (over Kentucky), Missouri (over Purdue), Ole Miss (over Cal), Vanderbilt (over Kansas State), Kansas State (over Vanderbilt), Florida (over Tennessee), Mississippi State (over LSU)
Marcus Spears: South Carolina (over Kentucky), Missouri (over Purdue), Ole Miss (over Cal), Vanderbilt (over Kansas State), Florida (over Tennessee), LSU (over Mississippi State)
Paul Finebaum: South Carolina (over Kentucky), Missouri (over Purdue), Ole Miss (over Cal), Vanderbilt (over Kansas State), Florida (over Tennessee), Mississippi State (over LSU)
Only one guy between the whole bunch, Herbstreit, picked Kentucky yesterday. And openly called out folks who were saying that the Cats shouldn't even bother making the trip to Columbia, despite winning 3 in a row over the Cocks. Not a lot of respect for State in there either.
3-0 smells good on a Sunday morning.

Herbie was the only one who got the Vandy-KSU game wrong though. Although, I thought I heard that Corso was the one dissenting on that game, not Herbstreit.

And you guys knocked me for saying he was the best handicapper ESPN has to offer. SMH

A) Desmond Howard is a putz
B) In defense of Ole Miss, tough to play a game that starts around midnight EST and ends well into the morning. If they are going to send schools from the East Coast side to the Wets Coast side, they need to limit how late the games can start.
It is really obvious in NCAA basketball games when the eastern team starts nodding off. Similar issues for games where elevation give the home team an advantage.

Tebow so special he gets to pick both teams in Vandy/KSU.

The ol "herby is awesome picker" thread. Nevermind all the "herby is a moron, big 10 homer" threads multiple times a season.
Good game UK, kicked our arse again no doubt. But please let's not act like herbstreit is some messiah on sec football, he is just waiting to suck off Ohio State again.

Congrats on the win but no need to make up stuff. Just because people thought we would win doesn't mean they thought "Kentucky shouldnt make the trip". Just enjoy the win against a shitty team and stop with the woe is me crap.

Oh bullshite. People were absolutely riding the train of thought that South Carolina was the favorite for the East and they would win comfortably.
Just take your 4th loss in a row to Kentucky like a man and stop crying yourself.
ETA: Even your players had an over inflated sense of self worth with that no shake before the game bullshite. Absolutely no respect for a team that had beaten you 3 in a row at that point.

This. As Herbstreit said on college gameday, it's like Kentucky shouldn't even make the trip.

The part about the handshakes isnt true.
So what. No one ever said Kentucky shouldnt make the trip, just because they picked SC.

Most of the pickers I saw on ESPN picked Louisville yesterday if it makes you feel any better

The part about the handshakes isnt true.
quote:
“They don’t shake our hands to start,” Coach Mark Stoops said after the Cats’ 23-13 victory at Brice-Williams Stadium. “I’ve never seen that, the captains don’t shake our hands. They wanted to go at it, but we were ready, too.” Edwards said it simply: “added fuel to the fire.”
Why would Stoops or Mike Edwards lie about that?

I guess the same reason you are lying about anyone saying anyone ever said "Kentucky shouldn't make the trip"
UK says they didnt shake hands. SC says the handshakes started, a UK guy started talking trash, as he admits in your link and the refs stopped the handshakes.
Either way, who cares? Kentucky won the game, Congrats. Theres just no need to make up stuff about "not making the trip" just because people picked SC to win. Just enjoy the win. Lee Corso picked SC, im sure he did tons of reaearch and was trying to disrespect UK fans....

Broncos better not even make the trip!

Oh that's hilarious.
So now multiple Kentucky players and coaches are lying about your team disrespecting them. You all pissed even the most even keeled guy in Stephen Johnson to the point that he said something. That kid NEVER says anything. But he's totally lying.
Then I guess you should've watched College Gameday and should also accuse Herbstreit of "lying" too.

Everything I saw here or even in the Columbia newspaper predicted the cocks in a walkover. Let's not pretend y'all weren't supremely cocky heading into last night.
